Charnesse is more than my best friend, she is my sister.  We met in August 1996 when I started working at the retail store Mervyn's in Miami, Florida.  At first I thought she was kind of rude (long story behind that), but some how we managed to become friends.  I think one of the main reasons we got to know each other is because of our curiosity in one another.  People would often come up and ask us if we were sisters or related.  I must say, I found this to funny.  You see, Charnesse is from Jamaica, and I am from Sri Lanka...countries that are on opposite sides of the world!  So, for us to be related....that would be impossible.  Nowadays, when people ask us if we are related we say "yes."  Sometimes we say we are cousins, sometimes we say we are sisters.  What do you think...do we look related?

May 24, 2003 (Memorial Day) Here we are just chillin' at the Tikki Bar in Islamorada, Florida.  The day was perfect...sunny, warm, and tons of fun.

July 4, 2003 Although Charnesse has lived in her apartment for years, she had finally finished decorating the place to her satisfactions and she wanted to celebrate.  So she had a housewarming party.  Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for too long.  I had made prior plans to visit my sister in Gainesville, and had to leave early.  That's not to say I didn't have fun.  And, from what I heard, the party was a real success.

July 19, 2003 Will had a BBQ to celebrate the fact that he was heading off to the University of Florida and, to have one last get-together with all his buddies in Miami.  Charnesse loves surprises.  She managed to sneak away while Will wasn't looking, run to the grocery, and come back with an ice cream cake for Will that read "Will miss you!"  Isn't that cute? I really love this picture of Will and Charnesse.
